Hi again...just a correction here. I said that the plug was on the
engine block, but it's just under the valve cover. The plug allows access to
a head bolt. Don't remove the engine head, just the valve cover.
Also a point of caution with the small valve cover bolts....get a large piece
of cardboard and draw a picture of the engine head w/o the valve cover. When
removing the 10 or so valve cover bolts, place each bolt in a hole on the cardboard
template that you've made so that you keep it straight. I'm not kidding here, but
there are about 10 different lenght (same calibre) bolts holding the cover on and it
would be a big job to figure out which goes where when replacing the cover.....I'm not
kidding, really make the template and put each bolt as it comes out
in the corresponding hole on the template. ALSO don't over tight the small
valve cover bolts, as they are small and fairly weak. One bolt broke on the first
time I did the job.
